Message from the President

iPads, debit cards, touch screens, instant resumés…
All of these things pop when you think JA (Junior Achievement).  High school kids at Cape in Lewes use iPads in JA as part of the JA Entrepreneurship Essentials afterschool club.

7th-12th graders from all around come to JA WORLD in Wilmington to act like adults with debit cards. And kids of all ages use touch screens in the JA iHUB to “discover how they can change the world!”

Right now, as a JA Student or a JA volunteer, you are creating a story of your work skills and experience.  For JA kids, every time you participate in a JA program, you are building experience. Click here for your Instant Résumé Update.

If you are a member of the JA ALUMNI family like I am (Newark High School JA Company, 1979-81), we hope you’ll share your story with us by sending me an email at rob@jadel.org or by posting on our facebook page http://facebook.com/JADelaware.

If you are a kid running your own business, be sure to enter the JA Entrepreneur Video Contest, where you can upload a 30-60 second commercial for your enterprise.  Finalists will be invited to the JA Career Challenge this spring where judges will choose a winner to receive a cash award.

Hope to see you there!
Rob Eppes
